Description
19x19mm aluminium corner profile, 2 metres long, silver anodised aluminium finish, with an opal diffuser. It mounts at 45 degrees across internal corners and takes LED strip up to 12mm wide — more than the 10mm limit of the 16x16mm version — with a larger diffuser face for a broader wash of light. The silver anodised aluminium finish disappears against painted walls and kitchen units.
Why a 2-metre length?
Fewer joins — every join shows as a faint shadow line in the diffuser once lit. A 4-metre run takes two 2-metre lengths and one join; the same run in 1-metre sections needs four profiles and three joins.
Where to use it
- Under-cabinet lighting: angles light down and across the worktop, not straight at the splashback.
- Wardrobes and alcoves: pushes light into the space rather than pooling it below.
- Shelving, stairs and corridors: hides the tape and its solder joints from eye level.
Who this is not for: shower enclosures, splash zones and anywhere outdoors. An open IP20 channel is wrong there — use a sealed IP67 fitting.
Fitting
Cut the aluminium with a fine-tooth hacksaw or mitre saw, and always slide the diffuser out and cut it separately — cut while clipped in the profile, the opal cover cracks, and we have replaced plenty. Screw the clips down, stick the strip to the internal face, clip the profile in and press the diffuser and end caps home.
The aluminium body also fixes the two failures we see most on site. Strips stuck straight onto bare MDF peel away in summer heat as the adhesive softens; inside the profile they stay put. And aluminium conducts heat at roughly 200 W/m·K against plasterboard's 0.19, so the channel draws warmth out of the LEDs.

How do you cut a 19x19mm corner profile to length?

The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:

- Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)
Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.
Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?
IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.
Can I cut this product to a custom length?
Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.
What size driver do I need?
Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.
Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?
Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
What is your warranty?
ATOM LED offers product-specific warranties: up to 7 years on single-colour COB strip, 5 years on RGB and RGBW COB strip, and 4 years on LED neon flex. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Call 01952 370028 for warranty claims.
