Frequently asked questions
How long can 12V RGB neon flex run?
12V RGB neon flex runs up to 5m from a single power feed. Beyond 5m, voltage drop causes visible colour shift and dimming at the far end. For longer RGB runs, switch to 24V (up to 20m) or 48V (30m IP68 outdoor).
What is 12V RGB neon flex best for?
12V RGB is best for compact installs: signage, retail displays, cabinet and shelf feature lighting, camper/van/boat builds, and any 5m or shorter colour-changing run where a small driver and tight bend radius matter.
Are 12V RGB kits compatible with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. Most 12V RGB kits include a WiFi controller compatible with Alexa, Google Home, and the Tuya smart-home app. Standard kits use a remote-only controller. Music-reactive kits respond to ambient sound.
Can I cut 12V RGB neon flex to length?
Yes. 12V RGB neon flex cuts at marked intervals (typically 5cm on 8×18mm and 2.5cm on 6×12mm). Cut at the marked line, attach the appropriate end cap, and the warranty stays intact.
What warranty applies to 12V RGB neon flex?
4-year warranty on the LED neon flex from ATOM LED. Controllers and remote handsets carry their own 2-year warranty. Free UK delivery, technical support Mon-Fri 9-5.

LED Flex
Excellent product, Kabir was a great help pre-purchase ensuring that we purchased the appropriate flex. There are plenty of other LED’s on the market, we were keen not to be tempted by Amazon and I’m confident that we made the correct choice, would fully recommend.
