UK Producer Compliance

WEEE Directive

Our commitment under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations, and how to return your old kit to ATOM LED for free recycling.

What WEEE means

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations are now UK law. They place a duty on producers to fund the collection, treatment, and recovery of waste electricals so they don't end up in landfill, where lead, cadmium, and other toxins leach into soil and groundwater.

Free like-for-like take-back

As a UK producer, ATOM LED offers free take-back of waste LED strip, neon flex, drivers, controllers, and aluminium profiles we have supplied — when you buy an equivalent replacement from us at the same time.

How to return your old kit

  1. Email sales@atomled.co.uk within 28 days of purchase. Include your order number and what you want to return.
  2. Wait for written authorisation. We'll confirm the return is eligible and reply with packaging guidance.
  3. Send to ATOM LED Lighting Ltd, Unit D4, Stafford Park 4, Telford, TF3 3BA. Mark it "WEEE Return".

What we don't accept

  • Christmas lights and seasonal decorations
  • Household light fittings and pendants
  • Replaceable lamps and bulbs
  • Filament and halogen bulbs
  • Items not originally supplied by ATOM LED
