210m recessed COB strip, commercial gym in Germany

The brief

The contractor needed a continuous commercial-grade light line for a dark, premium gym interior. The lighting had to sit inside the architecture rather than on the surface: mirror-wall wash, ceiling perimeter details, reception desk under-lighting and long floor-line runs through the training space.

The requirement was simple: dot-free output, protected recessed profiles, enough power capacity for 210 metres of strip, and zone control that could be commissioned cleanly on site.

The solution

We supplied 24V COB LED strip in 20 metre lengths, paired with recessed aluminium profile throughout the scheme. COB was chosen because the continuous phosphor output gives a clean line of light without visible LED dots, even beside mirrors and dark reflective finishes.

The electrical contractor used 500W 24V power supplies for the larger zones and Miboxer HW2 controllers where dimming and 2.4GHz control were required. The recessed profile protects the strip and gives the installation a sharper architectural finish.

The result

The finished gym uses light as part of the architecture: ceiling lines define the training area, recessed wall lighting sharpens the mirror zones, and the reception desk glows without exposing the fitting. Across 210 metres, the COB strip creates a consistent warm commercial ambience with no visible dotting.
