Description
Use this yellow 12V LED strip to create yellow accents for signs, themed displays and decorative outlines. Discrete SMD LEDs provide a visible, regularly spaced light source for accent lighting and concealed installations. The flexible tape can follow a planned route while keeping the lighting equipment out of sight.
Which power supply does it need?
Use a regulated 12V DC constant-voltage power supply selected for the connected length and listed power consumption. A suitable driver is ordered separately. Match polarity and connection ratings, and keep the power equipment accessible for inspection. Ask our team to check the power layout before extending an installation.
How should the run be planned?
The listed continuous-run limit is 5m. Plan longer routes as separate runs with a suitable feed arrangement. Keep cable sizing, voltage drop and the driver capacity under review; a longer project does not increase the strip’s permitted run.
Where does it cut and how does it fit?
Cut only at the marked 50mm positions and check the finished length before cutting. Allow for the 10mm strip width and the connection space. Clean and dry the mounting surface, then test the lighting before final fixing. Fully unroll the tape before powering it and avoid sharp folds, crushing or cable strain.
Mounting and the finished appearance
For a diffused finish, choose a compatible silicone profile and check its internal clearance with the strip and connections. Appearance depends on the profile, viewing distance and installation; test a sample before committing to the layout. Protect every cut end and connection for the actual environment. Check the finished layout before applying the strip permanently.

Returns & Refunds
The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:
- Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
- Straight aluminium profiles
- Power supplies and drivers
- Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)
Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.
Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?
IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.
Can I cut this product to a custom length?
Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.
What size driver do I need?
Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.
Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?
Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
What is your warranty?
ATOM LED offers product-specific warranties: 7 years on single-colour COB strip, 5 years on RGB and RGBW COB strip, and 4 years on LED neon flex. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Call 01952 370028 for warranty claims.
