Marble seating well — warm white perimeter wash

The brief

A sunken outdoor marble seating area built around a fire-pit, with step risers descending into the well from the surrounding patio. The owner wanted ambient warm-white light recessed into the marble itself — not on it, not above it, but flush inside the stone — so the perimeter and steps would glow softly without any fittings visible.

Every length had to be cut to the exact dimension of the marble channel it sat in, with no dark gaps and no overrun.

The solution — 6×12mm warm white

We specified our 6×12mm Mini Neon Flex in 3000K Warm White at 24V. Three things made it the right product:

• 6mm body width — fits directly into the marble channel with no aluminium profile in the way. The stone itself becomes the housing.
• 1cm cut interval — instead of being limited to 5cm or 10cm cut points, every section was trimmed to the exact length of its marble channel. No dark gaps at the ends.
• 3000K warm white outdoor — ambient enough to read as an architectural light, not a strip light. Pairs cleanly with a fire-pit's natural colour.

The result

The marble itself glows. Every step riser, every perimeter edge of the seating well, every joint between the walls and the floor — all lit from a recessed line you can't see directly. The fire-pit sits in the middle and the warm wash holds the whole space together at one colour temperature.
