Description

This aluminium floor channel is designed for a flush recessed lighting detail and is supplied with an opal cover. Choose 1 Metre or 2 Metre. The open housing is IP20 and is not sealed; installation suitability depends on the light source, connections, drainage, substrate and expected loading.

Choose your length

  • 1 Metre: suited to shorter sections and standard profile delivery.
  • 2 Metre: reduces joins on longer runs; long-goods delivery applies.

Applications

Use only with a suitably rated light source and connections after a project-specific assessment of drainage, substrate, fixings and expected loading. The housing has no published load rating and must not be presented as vehicle-rated or suitable for standing water.

Installation

Set the channel flush with the finished surface, provide project-appropriate drainage and keep drivers and electrical connections dry and accessible. Confirm the light-source ingress rating and loading requirements before installation.

Delivery charges

  • 1 Metre: Mainland UK standard delivery is £6.95 on orders under £90. It is not free below £90. Free Next Day Delivery applies from £90 only when the basket contains no 2 Metre or 2.45 Metre profile.
  • 2 Metre: Mainland UK delivery is £19.85 at every order value. This long profile does not qualify for free delivery. If any 2 Metre or 2.45 Metre profile is in the basket, the £19.85 long-goods rate applies to the order.

Profile delivery is charged by length. Mainland UK rates are shown below.

1m profiles: £6.95 for orders below £90 (DPD, 1–2 working days). Qualifying orders of £90 or more receive free next day delivery only when the order contains no 2m profiles.

2m profiles: £19.85 per order via Parcelforce 48 (1–2 working days), including orders of £90 or more. These lengths are not eligible for free delivery, next day, timed or Saturday delivery.

If the order includes any 2m profile, the £19.85 long-length rate applies to the whole order. Final charges depend on the delivery address and are confirmed at checkout.

For in-stock profiles, order before 1pm UK time, Monday–Friday for same-working-day dispatch from Telford. Orders placed after 1pm are dispatched the next working day. Bank holidays are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:

  • Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
  • Straight aluminium profiles
  • Power supplies and drivers
  • Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)

Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.

Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?

IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.

Can I cut this product to a custom length?

Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.

What size driver do I need?

Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.

Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?

Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
