Description
COB LED strip 220V 240V is a high-quality, flexible lighting solution designed primarily for indoor use. The strip features 288 LEDs per metre and delivers approximately 890 lumens per metre while consuming just 9 watts. With a high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 90+, it ensures natural and accurate colour representation, ideal for residential, retail, or premium lighting applications.
This COB LED strip carries an IP65 rating, which means it is splash-proof and offers basic protection against dust and light water spray. It is suitable for indoor use and may be used in very limited outdoor settings, such as under covered patios, soffits, or sheltered architectural features—provided it is not exposed to direct rainfall, heavy moisture, or continuous humidity.
Important Installation Notice:
This product is not suitable for recessed outdoor installations on the ground or any surface exposed to direct water or heavy weather. For such applications, we recommend using an IP68-rated neon flex, which is specifically designed for outdoor recessed use and offers higher protection against water and environmental conditions.
Please note that any modification or improper use of this product will void the warranty. In particular, hardwiring this light is not supported and will invalidate the warranty. It must be connected using the provided plug. If you require a hardwired installation, please choose one of our DC voltage IP67 or IP68 COB Strip (12V or 24V or 48V), which are designed for that purpose.
COB LED Strip 220V is not recommended for installation inside LED aluminium profiles. These high-voltage strips can generate excess heat and require direct airflow for safe operation. Enclosing them in a profile may trap heat, affect performance, reduce lifespan, and pose electrical safety risks. For profile installations, use low-voltage options such as 12V, 24V, or 48V COB LED strips designed for enclosed mounting.

Returns & Refunds
The 15-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:
- Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
- Straight aluminium profiles
- Power supplies and drivers
- Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)
Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.
Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?
IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.
Can I cut this product to a custom length?
Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.
What size driver do I need?
Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.
Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?
Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
What is your warranty?
ATOM LED offers product-specific warranties: up to 7 years on single-colour COB strip, 5 years on RGB and RGBW COB strip, and 4 years on LED neon flex. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Call 01952 370028 for warranty claims.
