The 5m 12V DC SPI 60LED/m RGBIC Digital LED Strip 10mm Wide and Cut at every 5cm IP65 Waterproof is a LED strip called Digital because we can control the colour of the LEDS independently. Thanks to the Digital SPI control the strip is able to perform tracking effects, flash, light groups of LEDs independently, so it provides a more complete range of effects and colours than conventional RGB strips.
The 5m 12V DC SPI 60LED/m RGBIC Digital LED Strip 10mm Wide and Cut at every 10cm IP65 Waterproof is 5 metres long and uses high brightness SMD5050 technology LEDs and a WS2811 control chip.
SPI Digital LED Strips are strips that have IC integrated circuits that allow them to control the colour and intensity of each group of LEDs separately via the SPI interface (Serial Peripheral Interface). With this particular strip it is possible to control groups of 3 LEDs independently.
To get the most out of the RGBIC Digital SPI 12V DC 60LED/m 5m IP65 Waterproof 10mm width we need a suitable digital controller. In the accessories section you can find a digital SPI controller with more than 120 colour presets so you don't have to do any programming. Just connect the power supply and enjoy more than 120 different colour modes.
The digital strip can be configured in two different pin orders RGB and BGR. Our digital strip is configured with BGR and all digital controllers follow the BGR order. It is important that the driver used is compatible with the pin order of the strip to avoid the colours being displayed incorrectly.

Returns & Refunds
The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:
- Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
- Straight aluminium profiles
- Power supplies and drivers
- Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)
Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.
Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?
IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.
Can I cut this product to a custom length?
Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.
What size driver do I need?
Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.
Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?
Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
What is your warranty?
ATOM LED offers product-specific warranties: up to 7 years on single-colour COB strip, 5 years on RGB and RGBW COB strip, and 4 years on LED neon flex. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Call 01952 370028 for warranty claims.
