Description

Compact black anodised aluminium surface profile for LED strip up to 10mm wide, supplied with a black push-in diffuser, end caps, mounting clips and fixing tape. Choose 1 Metre, 2 Metre or 2.45 Metre.

Size: 11.9 × 10mm near-square section.
Strip capacity: 10.2mm internal channel for LED tape up to 10mm wide.
Finish: black anodised aluminium body with a black diffuser.
Mounting: surface mounted using the supplied clips and screws or double-sided tape.
IP rating: IP20 for dry indoor locations.
In the box: selected profile length, black diffuser, two end caps, mounting clips and tape.

Choose your length

1 Metre: suitable for shorter sections, shelves, cabinets and compact feature lighting.
2 Metre: reduces joins across longer furniture, wall and ceiling runs.
2.45 Metre: provides the longest continuous section and minimises visible joins.

Where it gets used

Suitable for media walls, slat and acoustic panels, under-cabinet runs, shelf fronts, wardrobe interiors and coving. The black body and diffuser create a discreet shadow-line appearance when switched off. Aluminium also draws heat away from the LED strip to support consistent performance.

Installation

Fix the mounting clips to a flat surface, install the LED strip inside the channel, then fit the diffuser and end caps. Cut the aluminium and diffuser separately with a suitable fine-tooth blade.

For a smooth, dot-free light line, pair the profile with a suitable COB LED strip. The black diffuser passes less light than an opal diffuser, so choose the strip output to suit the required brightness.

Shipping

Mainland UK profile delivery depends on length and construction. The applicable rates are shown below.

1m rigid profiles: £6.95 for orders below £90 (DPD, 1–2 working days). Eligible orders of £90 or more receive free next day delivery when the basket contains no long-delivery rigid profile.

Standard rigid 2m profiles: £19.85 per order via Parcelforce 48 (1–2 working days), including orders of £90 or more. These rigid lengths are not eligible for free delivery, next day, timed or Saturday delivery.

<strong>Specified rigid 2.45m profiles: £34.85 per order</strong> at every order value. Bendable plaster-in profiles and selected bendable channels use the short-profile rate; flexible silicone covers have free standard delivery. In a mixed basket, the highest applicable profile rate applies. Final charges are confirmed at checkout.

For in-stock profiles, order before 1pm UK time, Monday–Friday for same-working-day dispatch from Telford. Orders placed after 1pm are dispatched the next working day. Bank holidays are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:

Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
Straight aluminium profiles
Power supplies and drivers
Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)

Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.

Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.

Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?

IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.

Can I cut this product to a custom length?

Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.

What size driver do I need?

Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.

Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?

Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
