Description
COB stands for Chip on Board. Hundreds of closely packed LED chips sit beneath one continuous phosphor layer, creating a smooth, dotless line of light instead of visible individual points.

Natural White 4000K gives a balanced neutral white that keeps surfaces and colours clear without looking blue.

How far will one power supply take it?
This strip is designed for continuous runs up to 15 metres. Use a 24V constant-voltage driver and size it with at least 25% headroom: strip length × 9W, then round up to the next suitable driver.
- 5 metres: 45W load — use at least a 60W driver.
- 10 metres: 90W load — use at least a 120W driver.
- 15 metres: 135W load — use a 200W driver.
Where does it cut?
Cut only on the marked copper pads, spaced every 8.33mm. The 150mm lead is pre-fitted. Never power the strip while it is wound on the reel because trapped heat can damage the LEDs and adhesive. See the dimension and cut-point diagrams in the product gallery.
Where should it be installed?
IP20 means dry indoor use only. Install the strip in a compatible aluminium profile for heat management, mechanical protection and a cleaner finish. Do not twist the PCB or bend it sharply across the solder pads. For bathrooms, outdoor areas or wet locations, choose a suitably rated waterproof strip.
Is 4000K right for the project?
Best suited to worktops, retail displays, offices, utility rooms and precise task lighting. For a softer domestic atmosphere, choose Warm White 3000K.
Made to Measure
Select the whole-metre price band that covers the required length, then enter the exact cut length in the Made to Measure switchboard. For example, 2.2m is charged at the 3 Metre price while keeping the selected colour temperature unchanged. Values above 15m are routed to the project enquiry path.

Returns & Refunds
The 30-day return window applies to non-customised stock items returned in their original, unopened, uncut condition with original packaging. Eligible items include:
- Standard LED strip lights supplied as 5-metre rolls
- Straight aluminium profiles
- Power supplies and drivers
- Accessories (connectors, controllers, dimmers, end caps)
Custom-cut and bespoke orders (made-to-measure strip, custom-spec drivers, custom-length profiles, special-order items) are non-returnable unless faulty.
Faulty products qualify for free returns — we cover the return postage and either replace the item or refund the full cost including original delivery.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 working days of receiving the returned item.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between IP65, IP67, and IP68?
IP65 handles surface splashes only and is not suitable for UK outdoor conditions or bathroom wet zones under BS7671. IP67 is rated for temporary immersion and covers outdoor garden installations, most bathroom zones, and exposed architectural features. IP68 handles continuous submersion for ponds, fountains, and fully exposed outdoor applications. For most UK garden and decking projects, IP67 is the correct choice.
Can I cut this product to a custom length?
Yes. ATOM LED products can be cut at the marked cut points without voiding the warranty. Many competitors restrict cuts to 50–100mm intervals, which wastes offcuts on tight custom runs. Use sharp scissors or a craft knife for a clean cut, then seal the end with a suitable end cap.
What size driver do I need?
Multiply the total metres by the wattage per metre, then add 20% headroom. For example: 10 metres of 24V neon flex at 9W/m = 90W total, so you need a minimum 108W driver. Never load a driver above 80% capacity for long-term reliability.
Should I choose 12V, 24V, or 48V?
Choose 12V for caravans, cars, boats, and any project powered by a 12V battery. Choose 24V for most home and trade installs where you need dependable run length with lower voltage drop. Choose 48V for longer architectural runs where extra distance and single-feed flexibility matter. For underwater or submerged installs, use IP68 Waterproof lights and the correct driver for that product; do not use 48V underwater.
What is your warranty?
ATOM LED offers product-specific warranties: up to 7 years on single-colour COB strip, 5 years on RGB and RGBW COB strip, and 4 years on LED neon flex. The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Call 01952 370028 for warranty claims.
